The Dalai Lama Abides With Medical Marijuana

The Twelfth son of the Lama, big hitter, just became the latest figurehead to support marijuana as medicine. Speaking in Mexico earlier today at an event hosted by former Mexico president Vicente Fox (a staunch supporter of cannabis himself), the zen-ful Tibetan leader gave cannabis for medicinal purposes his blessing.

Touting its “pharmaceutical values,” the Lama noted that this gives marijuana users “the [moral] exception.” The Lama also sensibly added that crazy people shouldn’t smoke weed: ”But otherwise if it’s just an issue of somebody (using the drug to have) a crazy mind, that’s not good.”

He may be exiled from from China, but there’s not a smoke session in this world that wouldn’t welcome the Lama with open arms–and instantly become the chillest session on this planet.
