Marijuana pipe found in 4-year-old Michigan boy’s Burger King Kids Meal

After picking the child up from a local water park on Tuesday evening, the boy’s grandfather took him to Burger King for dinner, where he ordered meal. Fortunately, the man opened up the box before the child did, discovered the pipe, and notified police.

Police said that a 23-year-old male employee at the fast-food chain had packed the pipe full of hashish and pot before stashing it in the kid’s meal box so that his superiors wouldn’t find it.

“So it ended up inside a 4-year-old’s Kids Meal,” Dundee Police Chief Dave Uhl told “I couldn’t believe it.” The boy’s grandfather told police that he witnessed a young male employee running from the restaurant.

During their investigation, police noticed that the suspect had left his cellphone behind. Two of the suspect’s friends called the phone to warn him that the police had arrived at the restaurant, and Patrolman Shawn Kotsch tricked them into revealing that they were parked across the street.
A search of their car revealed more drug paraphernalia, and the two friends, as well as the employee, were all arrested.
